New perfume perspectives with Lacoste Live

Today sees the launch of the new Lacoste L!ve perfume. All about creating new perspectives, the fragrance is a blend of edgy style and authenticity. This mixture is brought out through the bottle itself, designed by street artist Zoer, who Schlank caught up with at the bottle’s launch in Paris. The inextricable link between design and perfume is key: “The main inspiration came from the fragrance itself because it already has a really strong sense of geometry and that for me, was really inspiring as it was a sort of architecture. I then tried to play with this architecture but not to transform it, but instead to express it as it’s something so dynamic.”

Energy, change, pushing boundaries – it’s a perfume that keeps you on your toes, with an unexpected top note of zesty lime transforming the smoky warmth of licquorice and Guaiac wood and the middle notes of green leaves and aquatic notes into something energetic, and intrinsically about youth. Zoer, who also created an advert for the perfume, below, explains that this is as important to his own work as it is to the fragrance: “I think the fragrance is really young, empowering, dynamic and fresh. For me, if we’re going to talk about keywords, these are the keywords from my work also, – it’s Intuitive, spontaneous, direct, colourful.”
