What could be more welcome on a gloomy London day, than a collection imbued with the spirit of the sea and the free life of sailors?Attendees to the Belstaff show were met with modern-day Eastend dockers decked in naval-inspired separates that referenced clothes worn by British Royal Navy throughout WWII with an array of special vintage wax treatments for a worn-in look.
Delphine Ninous, Belstaff’s Creative Director says, “This sense of temporary escapism is reflected in edgier elements such as naval tattoo designs and the Jolly Roger flag, giving a sense of rebellion and individuality.” See below for our ship-shape snaps shot with Impossible film.
