For his Resort 2015 collection, Roland Mouret used rectangular, geometric cut layers that have begun to dominate his collections, alongside flashes of the emerald teal that was all over his last Resort collection, making it something of a designer favourite for this season. Hints of his famed Galaxy remained in a white skintight silhouette top with sharp shoulder detailing, and printed dress with a triangle cutout and thin belt, yet elsewhere there’s a distinct move away from the ultra-ladylike at the fashion house these days. Check out the cropped biker jacket with monochrome colour blocking, for starters.
It’s a relaxed, yet confident collection with a strong use of colours (especially in the first few looks) and easy to wear shapes, suggesting plenty to look forward to for summer.
