Slouchy boots have long been a staple in womenswear. The trend has risen in recent years, though, thanks in no small part to fashion houses like Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Vetements to name a few. But boots are not the only area where designers are piling on the material. As streetwear continues to make its way into the mainstream, the slouchy look continues to infiltrate all areas of womenswear, including trousers, jeans and tracksuits, too.

SAINT LAURENT’S SLICK AND SLOUCHY LEATHER BOOTS
Yves Saint Laurent‘s creative director Anthony Vaccarello sent iconic knee high boots down the runway in Paris yesterday, and with them, heaps and heaps of sex appeal. Vaccarello cranks them up a notch by piling on the leather; literally.

INSTAGRAM GIRL ANGELINA WORETH’S SLOUCHY BOOTCUT TROUSERS
Parisian Instagram style icon Angelina Woreth (@angelinaworeth) rocked Saint Laurent’s slouchy boot look way before it even graced the YSL headquarters yesterday. Angelina however adapts the popular style from boots into trousers and jeans instead. Check her out rocking the piled up look on Benommen.

VETEMENT’S LARGER-THAN-LIFE BOOTS
Things get psychedelic with Vetements‘ SS17 slouchy footwear. These shoes manage to bend the boundaries between boots and trousers; and brilliantly so.

BALENCIAGA’S HEAVY METAL AND REFLECTIVE BOOTS
Balenciaga‘s pre-fall 2016 shining silver knee high boots are slouchy, but without the gratuitous piles of material employed by Saint Laurent. Think statuesque tin foil paired with oversized wooly outerwear on top.

YEEZY’S CASUAL TRACKSUIT BOTTOMS
Whilst most of us accidentally sport this look when we put on our sweatpants too quickly, Kanye teaches us that bunched up trackies can good look when done right. This casual silhouette is no stranger to Kanye – it also appears in his thigh high boots.
