After the tenth anniversary of the iconic Big Bang watch in 2015, the Hublot Design Prize began as a celebration of emerging designers who are pushing the boundaries of design by being both innovative and ecologically responsible. With an extensive history exploring the parameters of design, Hulot has selected this year’s finalists from an impressive range of disciplines.

The judging panel included Hans Ulrich Obrist, artistic director of the Serpentine Galleries; Marva Griffin, the founder of the Milan design fair SaloneSatellite; the design critic and author Alice Rawsthorn; and designer Samuel Ross, who won the award in 2019. Together they crowned Nifemi Marcus-Bello as the winner, while Maya Bird-Murphy und Connor Cook both received the Pierre Keller award, all mastering contemporary art through a different medium.
