In celebration of Anna Piaggi, the Queen of Vintage, Vestiaire Collective has collaborated with Fondazione Sozzani in Milan for the opening of their exhibition Anna Piaggi: Illustrations by Karl Lagerfeld, which unveils a remarkably curated collection of fashion pieces from the archives of Associazione Culturale Anna Piaggi and Fondazione Sozzani.
Home to unique couture and rare ready-to-wear pieces, along with an abundance of charming accessories, this exhibition honours the very best of vintage fashion from Margiela, John Galliano, Comme des Garçons and more. Beginning on January 20 until February 27 2022, all proceeds of the sales will go to support the programmes of both the Fondazione Sozzani and Associazione Culturale Anna Piaggi.

This collaboration, the first of its kind in Vestiaire’s history, aims to create further dialogues surrounding consumption and hopes to inspire consumers to consider the implications of clothing on the environment. The founder of Fondazione Sozzani, Carla Sozzani, believes that the combination of “our heritage, culture, education, and the awareness of fashion’s history is a significant way forward now…creating a culture of awareness [is] the future.” Speaking on the collaboration with Fondazione Sozzani, Sophie Hersan, Co-Founder of Vestiaire Collective, said “…this collaboration is the ideal showcase for fashion sustainability and heritage. These elements are at the core of our community, mission and vision: to spark inspiration and to raise awareness of the circular fashion future.”
