For the FW23/24 digital launch, photographer Sabina Schreder and creative director Andreas Kronthaler are taking the models on a tour through London’s everyday places. From the department store Peter Jones to the art gallery of a friend and a stroll through Carnbary Street, the lookbook comes along as a DIY guide reflecting our sense of belonging. It is an exploration of a never ending journey through time and space, gathering objects and materials along the way.
Fabrics mixed together, old Hollywood tailoring, 17th century ruff shirting and recycled patchwork tartan bags, hand-made in Kenya tell the story of a collection of different eras, cultures and styles, as well as “a mix of London” says Andreas Kronthaler.
In order to make further efforts in sourcing lower environmental impact alternatives to conventional materials, Vivienne Westwood offers a booklet with sustainable notes for the mainline. 88% of the collection contains lower impact, dead-stock and cruelty free materials such as recycled or organic cotton, cotton from regenerative agriculture, recycled synthetics, responsibly sourced viscose and-free and RWS wool.
