Exactly 30 years ago, Casio presented the game changing G-SHOCK watches. Jump to three decades later, and the brand is celebrating this landmark birthday by launching a series of pop-up stores in cities across Europe, including Amsterdam, Milan, Barcelona, Paris, Manchester and Berlin. However, these are pop up stores with a difference – G-SHOCK has also launched the G-Sessions initiative in which young creatives, under the eye of a local creative director, are offered carte blanche to make designs for their own G-SHOCK.
Next week sees the G-Sessions launch in Berlin, and who better to present it than Berlin’s very own eccentric designer, Patrick Mohr. Acting as a curator, Mohr will share his expertise and knowledge with the young creatives, whose own creations are a mix of progressive fashion combined with a timeless wearability.
The Berlin chapter will launch at Kreuzberg’s VOO Store in time for the start of Berlin Fashion Week on July 2nd (staying open until July 20th). Make sure to stop by and see what other limited edition collaborations G-SHOCK have been involved with, including the Maison Martin Margiela Bear-brick model.
