But as any fashion aficionado knows, it’s not all about the fancy shows and picture perfect models parading down the runways, half the fun of of the week-long style marathon is meeting fellow “dedicated followers of fashion,” who queue up outside parties, try to blag their way past bouncers, and rush from one show to the next trying to catch a glimpse of the season’s latest trends.
These die-hard fashion fans dash about the German capital in pursuit of seeing the next big thing, all the while dressed in getups that ooze Berlin personality. In this exclusive photo series for SLEEK, we sent Berlin-based photographer Daan Dam to capture stylish Berliners in their natural habitat, demonstrating that you don’t need to just look to the catwalk to inspire your new spring wardrobe.
